Based in Perthshire, and with over 19 years experience advising clients on all aspects of employment law, Alison has a proven track record.
She has considerable experience providing strategic employment law advice and handling cases in the Employment Tribunals and Courts.
After studying at Glasgow and Seville University, Alison graduated from Glasgow University in 1995 with an Honours degree in Law and Spanish language. She completed her Diploma in Legal Practice at Glasgow University and undertook her 2 year Solicitor traineeship in Edinburgh.
In the early years of her career as a litigation Solicitor, Alison practised all types of court work and by 2001 had become a partner in well respected city firm. She worked for 10 years as a partner within a solicitors firm and moved to Perthshire in 2011.
Alison has considerable experience in providing bespoke training on all aspects of employment law and designed and taught the Employment Law module for Stirling University’s Diploma in Legal practice course.
Alison’s approach to employment law is to find a practical solution which safeguards her client’s position without getting tied up in the technicalities. She offers clients a cost effective and practical approach to all employment law issues. She represents both employers and employees and has considerable experience in raising and presenting claims before the Employment Tribunals.
Alison has a particular expertise in the area of drafting contracts, advising on redundancies, advising on the fairness of dismissals, drafting settlement agreements and the TUPE regulations.
Her company is a practice regulated by the Law Society of Scotland and benefits from the Law Society master insurance policy.
